Yasi.

Some of you have heard about the super-cyclone that recently battered the coast of North Queensland, including Townsville, where I live.  We have been without power since Wednesday afternoon, and may still be - I'm currently in Cairns overnight for a teaching engagement, but when I get back I'll post about our experience - this is just a quick note to let anyone who's reading know that Andy, Nacho and I all survived!

*hugs* I can't imagine being without power for so long. Really, really fingers crossed that it's back by the time you get home!

Glad to hear you're okay! Hope you get home (and get power!) soon.

I can't imagine it either, for example what do you eat?

So so glad you are all ok!

Still no power in Mundingburra, but you should be the Hermit Park feeder and power was back yesterday. We are camping in style and pretty comfy. The lemon myrtle blew down though :(

Glad to hear you're alive :) Natural disaster things like this have always freaked the crap out of me so I haven't been keeping up with anything...Looking at your picture, I didn't think it was THAT big :S
